New site is free WGC was being charged $200 per year for this old site designed many years ago, it has become too difficult to edit & no reason to continue to pay for the site.

Will maintain until it is deleted automatically at some time in the future.

Bardin Median Update: 5.8.2023

Many of you are aware that there was a fatality accident at the intersection of Bardin and Racquet Club Drive. Speed of a motorcycle was cited as a factor.

Thank you to Carolyn Galvan (Median Coordinator) who has again researched with multiple City and Median departments and again determined that there are no median codes and restrictions for planting. However, we agreed that WGC should be proactive and enhance the sight lines. Carolyn met with Juan who handles our maintenance and a plan was devised.

On Sunday (May 7) the following work was completed:

-one large Yucca was dug up and removed from the south side of the median and planted in the rear of the bed in the center.

-a small Nandina on the south side was trimmed lower and dug up and moved further into the planting area.

Later this month there will be some color added that should not cause site issues.

Most importantly, Be safe. Cars do tend to speed along Bardin heading east and we cannot change that behavior. Please be careful and slow down to a stop before attempting a left-turn on Racquet Club, and as you pull further forward into the intersection, hesitate and be sure the road is clear before turning.
